A Panorama Hotel for Planken
The Community of Planken asked the design studio of Visiting Prof. Peter Staub to develop new concepts for the site of the former Hotel Saroja. During the winter semester 2008/10, students developed a catalogue of 10 different ideas. The wide range of hotel typologies included a backpacker's hostel, a wellness hotel, a culinary hotel and even an iconic hotel tower. The proposals also included functional and economic analyses. All projects were presented to the entire community during a public event and served as the basis for the further development of the site.
