Town Planning - Sustainability - Project
Semester work begins with a research on the built environment of Triesenberg. In parallel there will be defined general conditions of sustainability for the particular case and for construction in general.
This preliminary work will result in the formulation of planning statements and aims of a future development of Triesenberg. These urbanistic development scenarios and hypothesis, suggested by
each student will be tested by design of a new fire station. The proposed project is being developed by each student into detail regarding positioning, form and material.
The integrated subjects "building mechanical systems" and "material technologies enrich the designs complexity and support knowledge about sustainability and detailing.
The studios objective is to prepare adequate proposals for positioning and structural formulation of a new fire station to the municipality of Triesenberg.
Thus the assignment has a rather realistic approach. In this spirit we will be supported and accompanied by consultants from Triesenberg during the whole working time. After the final critique the projects will be exhibited at an adequate place and presented to the public.
