How has your degree influenced the way you think, approach problems or develop new solutions?

Studying at the University of Liechtenstein has had a lasting influence on the way I think. I learned to analyse complex issues in a structured manner, to view matters from different perspectives and to think in an interdisciplinary way. This forms the basis for my ability to familiarise myself quickly with new fields of activity and to develop creative solutions to real world challenges.

Which skills or perspectives that you acquired at the University of Liechtenstein help you most today in your professional or personal life?

My studies enabled me to combine my professional experience with a solid theoretical foundation. Particularly formative was my many years of work at the Chair of Company, Foundation and Trust Law. There, I had the opportunity to work in a great team and to meet mentors who significantly shaped my further path.
This combination of academic depth and a strong sense of collaboration is one of the key strengths I draw on in my work every day.

Did you establish networks or contacts during your studies that have accompanied you on your path?

Both the Bachelor programme in Business Administration and the LL.M. in Company, Foundation and Trust Law at the University of Liechtenstein enabled me not only to gain professional qualifications, but also to build a substantial network in Liechtenstein and beyond. This network continues to provide me with valuable impulses to this day. I am particularly grateful for the friendships that have grown out of these connections.

Especially in times of constant change, it is less rigid career plans and far more attitude, willingness to learn and courage that make the difference."

What concrete contributions do you make today in your profession or industry that also have a positive impact on the country?

As an employee of the Liechtenstein National Administration, I naturally feel a strong sense of responsibility towards the country, its residents and its businesses. At the Staff Unit for Digital Innovation (SDI), we further develop legal frameworks, drive the implementation of European digitalisation legislation and act as a point of contact in the field of digital innovation.

My personal contribution lies primarily in legal guidance and in the strategic shaping of future oriented topics. As a team, we work together to harness the opportunities of digitalisation for the benefit of the population, the economy and public administration.

To what extent do you see the University of Liechtenstein as a driver of innovation, research or social progress in the country?

The University of Liechtenstein is an important source of impetus in these areas. In my professional environment, the university’s digitalisation survey is a successful example. Its academically sound analysis and the opportunity to jointly derive concrete recommendations for action offer significant potential for the country.

What career advice would you like to pass on to our current students?

Remain open and curious and do not shy away from taking on responsibility. These qualities have led me along a path in life and career that may not have been entirely linear, but has been all the more exciting. Especially in times of constant change, it is less rigid career plans and far more attitude, willingness to learn and courage that make the difference.
